I’m a Scottish chemist from Glasgow and I research materials for batteries. Outwith science, my main passion is music and I collect old records. I also enjoy socialising with friends, playing football and going to the gym.
My pronouns are:
I research sustainable materials for batteries, mostly focusing the synthesis. The aim of my research is to create materials that perform well and are better for the environment.
My Typical Day:
I go into work for 10am. I do lots of experiments in the lab. I have lunch with my coworkers at 12am. In the afternoon, I head back to the lab where I carry out more experiments. I go home at 6pm.
What I'd do with the prize money:
I would like to organise an outreach activity/event with schools in the local area that combines chemistry and art.
