Thanks to all the students, scientists and teachers that have taken part in the Battery Zone!

It has been a fab 4 weeks. We hope you’ve enjoyed it – and we hope you’ve learnt something about what it’s like being a scientist.

There have been some excellent questions asked by students.

• How dangerous is the testing stage of new batteries
• Normal cars use fuel and cause global warming but power is also used from power stations (which cause global warming) for electrical cars.So either way it’s releasing gases to bring aboutglobal warming. So where’s the progress in saving the environment?

Throughout the Zone students have been voting for their favourite scientist.
That scientist will win £500 to spend on more science engagement.
